Profile

Matej studied law at Trnava University in Trnava. At his alma mater, he co-founded a civic association for a student platform focused on educational and social activities. The platform won the Student Organization of the Year award.

He completed an internship at the prosecutor's office and participated in a CEEMC mock trial in the field of European law and intellectual property law during his studies.

During his studies, he worked as a legal assistant in law firms, where he focused on commercial and civil law, as well as intellectual property and technology law.

Currently, at Poláček & Partners, he specializes mainly in energy, information technology, and intellectual property. He is fluent in English.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his loved ones, reading, travelling, watching critically acclaimed movies and series, or doing sports.
